In short, you can use it for your own application as long as you don't give the data away or sell it in large chunks. A good portion of our data comes directly from the owners of the UPC codes. Some of the data comes from members of the site entering the data. Some is scraped from other sources using advanced interfaces behind the scenes. Well, this is a tough one! In all cases, we do our best to make sure the data is at least reasonable. When data comes directly from the owner of the code or products, we tend to lock the data from further updates. This keeps the data in the format that the owner has specified. When the data comes from our automated processes or from the members of the site, it is usually reviewed to make sure it is at least somewhat reasonable. But without having the product in front of us, we can't really be sure of anything. We mainly make sure that strange links or scams aren't being put into the data.
